When your child goes away to college, it can be hard on them and on the family. This is a simple prayer you can say when you light a candle, to ask God to bless them
Dear God
Please look after NAME as they leave us to go to college.
Help them to find where they need to go, and get there safely.
Help them to be kind to all the new people they meet, and to make friends with good people.
Help them to learn what they need to learn, and to do well in the exams.
Help us in the family who are left behind, not really knowing how this will work out.
Bless NAME. Bless their friends. Bless us as we get used to their being away.
